Shark Themed Birthday Party

This party is dedicated to a little guy who loves shark. His mother wanted to celebrate his 6th birthday party at home by inviting only his close friends (mostly are boys) and relatives.  They wanted the party to be intimate yet bright and fun for all, so we came up with an idea to incorporate “cute shark” with the element from “under the sea” for printables and dessert table. There was a small pool for the cute little guests, and girl’s corner while the boys can play around the house. At the end of the party they watched movie together at the porch. It was a pleasure for us to see them having a great time. The birthday boy looked very happy circled by the loved ones on his birthday. Once again happy birthday Pasha!

Moroccan Inspired Table Setting for Hari Raya

Well it’s officially my first post here as I have decided to join Kinderplays with Mba Junita, and we are so thrilled to expand this party planning business into broader market which will include table setting for bridal shower or baby shower. Design and décor have always been my passion since I was in college until now. So I’m glad I was given this opportunity by Kinderplays, one of the pioneer in this business.

Okay I assume that’s enough for my short introduction. ;) Now I want to talk more about the inspiration for Lebaran table setting. Perhaps some of you are keen to celebrate Hari Raya in a unique way by adapting Moroccan style to the dining table, not just a classic white and green. I love how the bright colors and rich patterns are tied together in this theme. Fuchsia, orange, and gold are not common combination you can find everyday. But Camille Styles and her team were able to establish a stunningly harmonious setting. Low dining table made from an old door and vintage bed posts creates a less-formal ambience so family can lounge around during or after the meal. They also substitute the dining chair with floor cushions. Have a look at their amazing work. Pictures courtesy of She-n-He.

Outdoor Cinema party

It was many many years ago, when I and my hubbie watched the moonlight cinema under the stars during our honeymoon. We brought carpet and snacks, blanket, and sit comfortably over the green grass. It was something that I promised myself to do before I married to him. so when I see this party from Our Love in October, it has brought me back to that memory. We could grow old, but if we are aging with good memories, I am sure we are growing old gracefully:))  The dessert table in mind would popcorn with many flavours: Parmesan and thyme, cinnamon, spicy one, or sweet ones like caramel and/or cookies and cream. Bottles of sodas, ice cream and some other savouries snack
